Accessibility Statement

Effective date: 25 July 2026
Last reviewed: 25 July 2026

1. Our commitment

This Accessibility Statement applies to www.aureliahomes.co.uk, which is operated by Aurelia Homes Ltd.

At Aurelia Homes, thoughtful care includes ensuring that people can access information about our services and communicate with us with confidence.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use our website, including disabled people and those who use assistive technologies. We are committed to identifying and removing accessibility barriers and to making reasonable adjustments where they are needed.

2. Our accessibility standard

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA as the benchmark towards which we design and maintain this website.

These guidelines are based upon four principles: that website content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

A full independent accessibility audit of the website has not yet been completed. We therefore describe WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our target standard and do not currently claim that every page, feature or third-party component fully conforms to it.

We will update this statement following formal testing and whenever material accessibility issues or improvements are identified.

3. How we approach accessibility

When creating and reviewing our website, we aim to:

  • use clear, consistent page structures and meaningful headings;

  • present text in a readable format with appropriate colour contrast;

  • support navigation using a keyboard as well as a mouse or touchscreen;

  • provide visible keyboard focus indicators;

  • allow content to respond appropriately when text is enlarged or the page is viewed on a smaller screen;

  • provide meaningful text alternatives for informative images;

  • label form fields clearly and provide understandable instructions;

  • avoid relying upon colour alone to communicate important information;

  • use descriptive link wording so that the purpose of each link is clear; and

  • write website content in clear, considered language.

We also provide telephone and email contact options so that visitors are not required to use the online enquiry form to communicate with us.

4. Current limitations

As a full accessibility assessment has not yet been completed, there may be barriers that we have not identified.

The website is built and hosted using Squarespace and may include features supplied by Squarespace or other third parties. Although some underlying functionality may not be within our direct control, we will consider reported barriers and, where reasonably possible, provide an accessible alternative.

This statement does not cover third-party websites reached through links from our website. Those websites are operated by their respective owners and are subject to their own accessibility arrangements.

5. Assistance and alternative formats

If you have difficulty accessing any part of the website, cannot use the online enquiry form, or need information in a different format, please contact us.

This may include a request for information in plain text, large print or another reasonably accessible format. We will discuss your requirements with you and seek to provide a suitable alternative as soon as reasonably practicable.

When reporting an accessibility problem, it is helpful—but not required—to tell us:

  • the page or feature you were trying to use;

  • the difficulty you experienced;

  • the device, browser or assistive technology you were using, if relevant; and

  • your preferred way for us to respond.

You do not need to disclose details about a disability beyond what is reasonably necessary to explain the assistance or adjustment you require.

Any personal information provided to us will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not charge you for a reasonable accessibility adjustment.

6. Feedback and complaints

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of our website. If you identify a barrier or believe that we could make part of the website easier to use, please contact us using the details above.

We will consider your feedback carefully and take reasonable steps to investigate and address the matter.

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may raise the matter through our Complaints Procedure.

Nothing in this Accessibility Statement affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Equality Act 2010.

7. Review of this statement

This statement was prepared on 25 July 2026 and was last reviewed on the same date.

We will review it at least annually and following any significant change to the website, formal accessibility assessment or identification of a material accessibility issue.

The next scheduled review will take place no later than July 2027.
