Exceptional homes are cared for by exceptional people.
At Aurelia Homes, we believe that outstanding household care begins with people who are respected, thoughtfully prepared and proud of their craft.
We are building a carefully selected team of professionals who understand that caring for a private home is about far more than completing a list of tasks. It requires discretion, consistency, sound judgement and genuine attention to the details that shape how a home feels.
As we prepare to welcome our founding members, we are now seeking an exceptional Senior Housekeeper to become part of Aurelia Homes from the very beginning.

A More Considered Approach to Household Care
Aurelia Homes provides thoughtfully managed housekeeping memberships for private homes across Wimbledon and selected South West London neighbourhoods.
Our approach is built upon preparation, consistency, discretion and genuine respect for every home entrusted to us. Each member receives an individual Home Care Plan, allowing their home to be cared for according to its particular materials, routines, priorities and preferences.
The Founding Senior Housekeeper will be our first operational appointment and will play an important part in bringing the Aurelia standard to life.
This is initially a hands-on position without direct line-management responsibility. You will personally care for a small portfolio of member homes while helping to establish the working practices, presentation standards and attention to detail upon which the future Aurelia team will be built.
As the company grows, there may be opportunities to support the induction, coaching and quality development of future colleagues.
The Role
You will provide exceptional ongoing housekeeping and whole-home presentation within carefully selected private residences.
Working from an agreed Home Care Plan, you will take responsibility for ensuring that each home feels calm, beautifully prepared and consistently cared for.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering detailed housekeeping and home presentation in accordance with each member’s Home Care Plan
Caring for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and other agreed household spaces
Making and presenting beds to an exceptional standard
Managing laundry, ironing, linen care and linen-cupboard presentation
Applying the correct methods and products to stone, marble, timber, metals, glass, upholstery, delicate fabrics and other specialist surfaces
Preparing products, equipment and materials before each visit
Completing a detailed Final Walkthrough before leaving each home
Maintaining clear and accurate records of work completed
Reporting damage, defects, maintenance concerns and low household supplies promptly
Communicating with members professionally, warmly and discreetly when appropriate
Protecting keys, alarm information, access codes and all private household information
Following Aurelia Homes’ health and safety, COSHH, manual-handling and lone-working procedures
Contributing thoughtful feedback as Aurelia’s service standards and operating procedures develop
Supporting the induction and practical coaching of future team members once suitably experienced in the Aurelia approach
The position is focused on professional housekeeping and home presentation. It does not include childcare, personal care, regulated care or routine cooking.
The Person We Are Looking For
You will be an accomplished housekeeping professional who notices what others overlook.
You will understand how much trust is involved when a household welcomes someone into its home, and you will treat that trust with the utmost care.
Essential experience and qualities
Substantial professional housekeeping experience within private residences, five-star hospitality or luxury serviced accommodation
Excellent practical knowledge of housekeeping products, methods, surfaces and materials
Strong laundry, ironing, linen-care and bed-presentation skills
Consistently high standards, including when working independently
Exceptional reliability, punctuality and personal organisation
A discreet, trustworthy and respectful approach
Polished and considerate communication
The confidence to identify concerns and report them appropriately
The ability to maintain accurate digital and written records
The ability to use a smartphone for schedules, work records and company communication
The ability to travel reliably between member homes across Wimbledon and the surrounding service area
The ability to carry out the physical requirements of the role, with reasonable adjustments where appropriate
The legal right to work in the United Kingdom
Two satisfactory and verifiable professional references
Particularly welcome
Previous experience working within high-value or formally managed private homes
Knowledge of COSHH and professional health and safety procedures
Experience supporting, mentoring or training other housekeepers
A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle
A driving licence is advantageous rather than essential, provided you can travel reliably between member homes.
